Spearheaded by the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of RHI, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the initiative aims to equip 18,500 women across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones with essential tools and resources to enhance their financial independence.

The program commenced with 500 beneficiaries from each state in the North Central Zone, providing them with vital business tools such as deep-chest freezers, gas cookers with ovens, generators, and industrial grinding machines. These resources are intended to help women establish and grow their businesses, fostering economic stability and contributing to national development.

Speaking at the launch, Senator Oluremi Tinubu reaffirmed her commitment to empowering Nigerian women, emphasizing their critical role in nation-building. She highlighted that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, which prioritizes inclusivity, economic growth, and sustainable development for all Nigerians.

“Women’s empowerment is at the heart of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG-5 on gender equality and SDG-8 on decent work and economic growth,” she noted. “These items are not just tools; they represent opportunities for financial independence and a brighter future for Nigerian women. I urge all beneficiaries to make the most of these resources to improve their lives and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress.”

With this initiative, the government continues to reinforce its commitment to supporting women’s economic advancement, ensuring they have the means to thrive as entrepreneurs and change-makers in their communities.
