The National Treasury bursary scheme is available if you require funding from your second year of undergraduate studies at the local
accredited University or University of Technology.

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Be registered for full-time undergraduate studies
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Achieved an academic average of 65% and above in the latest examinations (mid year/June 2025)
  • Financial need is considered in all the applications (combined household income must not exceed R600,000.00 per annum)

Be well rounded academically, with strong performance in any of the following fields:

  • BCom Accounting
  • BCom Economics
  • Diploma Logistics
  • Degree/Diploma Graphic Design

Please note: Preference will be given to high performing students with top grades.

To apply for the 2026 Bursary Scheme, please send your application form available on www.treasury.gov.za,

accompanied with:

  • a certified copy of your South African ID,
  • Grade 12 statement of results and certificate,
  • Official transcript (1st year mid-year/June 2025),
  • Certified copies of parent/s or guardian’s South African IDs,
  • Proof of parent/s or guardian/s income (salary advice) or affidavit if unemployed,
  • Death certificate if parent/s are deceased,
