In this context, the “Master’s grants International Network” call (Fellowships funding scheme 2026) aims to award grants to help fund a year of master’s degree for professionals and students from low and middle income countries working or wishing to work on the agency’s thematic areas.
Benefit:
The grant is intended to contribute to the financing of a master’s degree year, including participation in courses, completion of an internship and obtaining the degree. It may cover all of the following necessary expenses:
- University registration fees;
- living expenses (food, insurance, everyday expenses);
- Accommodation costs;
- Transportation costs;
- Visa or residence permit fees;
- and any other costs directly related to the completion of the master’s degree and
internship.
Eligibility Requirement
This call is specifically dedicated to junior scientists from LMICs (Low and Middle-Income Countries)
It aims to open up opportunities for the selected candidates to advance their careers in research, in close collaboration with the partners of the ANRS MIE International Network (Partner Sites and PRISME (International Research Platforms in Global Health)).
Applications are expected from professionals and students, either already involved in the research activities of a Partner Site/PRISME or wishing to start a new collaboration with these partners.
Candidates must respond by selecting one internship offer among those proposed by the Partner Sites and PRISME of the International Network (see “Download internship offers”).
For the 2026 edition, the internship offers are provided in collaboration with the following Partner Sites and PRISME:
- Brazil,
- Burkina Faso,
- Cambodia,
- Côte d’Ivoire,
- Guinea,
- Senegal,
- Vietnam.
How to apply
The “Master’s grants – International Network” call for applications is conducted in two stages:
- Phase I (November 26, 2025 – February 2, 2026): Submission of initial applications (presentation of the considered master’s degree(s) and selection of an internship offer proposed by a Partner Site/PRISME. Applicants can apply to only one offer).
- Phase II (March 16, 2026 – May 14, 2026): Submission of the finalised applications for candidates selected in Phase I.
Applications must be submitted via the Apogée platform (section “AAP Exceptionnel”). The application form available below must be completed and uploaded on the Apogée platform.
