Women in Techis a program by the Standard Chartered Foundation, designed to support impact-creating, tech-enabled, women-led startups with specialized training, catalytic funding, and access to a global network of industry leaders, finance providers, and ecosystem partners.

Opportunities

Support 400 women entrepreneurs in building thriving businesses.

Provide over 32 catalytic grants totaling nearly USD 1.9M.

Enable and support the creation of over 1,200 jobs across participating markets.

The program will be delivered by local Implementing Partners in each participating country, ensuring tailored support and strong local ecosystem connections, with strategic guidance and coordination provided by Village Capital across markets.
In its first year, the program distributed over USD 550K in grants to 21 women-led startups. The 2025 cohort collectively:

In 2026, more than USD 600K in grants will be distributed across 12 markets: Bahrain, Botswana, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia*, South Africa*, UAE, Uganda, and Zambia.

Eligibility
- Applicants should have a women-led, impact-creating, or SDG-aligned business that is tech-enabled, with an established business model or service already in the market.
