The goal of the program is to prepare students with disabilities for independence by providing academic courses, social engagement and real-world work experiences. Students will live in a shared residential housing arrangement, participate in social activities across campus and receive career education and training.

Benefit:
- The scholarship will be applied up to cost of attendance and can be used to cover University or
college/school tuition, fees, room and board, books or other related costs. The student’s account will be
credited at the beginning of each term.
Scholarship Details
- Out-of-state undergraduate dependent children under age 26 may be eligible for up to the difference in in-state and out-of-state university tuition for a maximum of four years
- In-state undergraduate dependent children under age 26 may be eligible for up to $1,650 per academic year ($825 per semester) for a maximum of four years and with a maximum lifetime benefit of $6,600
- Academic terms covered include fall, spring and summer.
- Only one application is required per academic year.
- Some tuition benefits may be subject to taxation
Student Eligibility
- Dependent children of WVU and WVU Research Corporation benefits-eligible employees who are enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking* undergraduate students.
- Students enrolled in the WVU Country Roads Program are eligible to apply
- Dependent children must be under age 26 and certified as a dependent in accordance with health insurance plan guidelines, with the exception of court-appointed legal guardianships. If the dependent is not enrolled on the employee’s health insurance, he/she will be asked to submit documentation to verify eligibility during application process.
- Students must be full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students at the start of the semester (12
hours minimum for fall, spring and summer terms), unless they are a graduating senior and need fewer
than 12 credits to graduate. In such cases, students will need to maintain a minimum of half-time status
or 6 credit hours. - The student must maintain an overall or cumulative minimum 2.75 GPA
- The student must be enrolled at WVU Morgantown, WVU Keyser, WVU Beckley or WVU Online
- Graduating seniors requiring less than full-time but at least half-time status the semester before graduation are eligible
- Only one application per academic year is required.
Parent Employee Eligibility
- There is no employee length-of-service requirement
- Employee must be benefits-eligible and employed by the University or WVU Research Corporation
- If an eligible student has two parents that work for the same employer that apply, only one application will be reviewed for eligibility. Students will not be awarded the scholarship twice in one academic year
How to Apply
