About Documentary Film Fellowship program;
A Documentary Film Fellowship is a specialized program designed to support and empower emerging or established filmmakers who are passionate about telling real-life stories through the lens of a camera. These fellowships provide a structured environment where storytellers can develop, refine, and produce powerful documentary films that explore social, cultural, political, or environmental issues

Duration:
Documentary Film Fellowship is a 4-month intensive training, production, and mentorship program for Nigerian documentary filmmakers. With expert guidance, funding, and a structured development process, fellows will produce a 15–20 minute original short documentary.

Eligibility:
They are looking for professional filmmakers based in Nigeria who are:
- Committed to non-fiction storytelling (no fiction or reenactments)
- Available full-time from August to November 2025
- Experienced in filming, editing, or producing (you’ll indicate your strengths)
- Passionate about telling urgent, local stories on themes such as identity, environment, history, culture or social issues
Note:
- This program is not open to beginners or film students. It is strictly for professionals.
- Fiction, dramatizations, and reenactments are not accepted.
- Participation in an international film festival is not guaranteed, but based on the quality of your work and dedication.
