The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has intensified security arrangements ahead of the 2026 Easter celebrations, deploying a total of 1,803 personnel alongside critical operational assets across Abuja. According to an official statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, the large-scale deployment covers churches, event centres, and other recreational locations throughout the territory. The police chief also urged citizens to remain law-abiding and vigilant throughout the celebrations. He encouraged community members to cooperate with security agencies and promptly report any suspicious activities.
