How to Apply / Enroll for SSHIA via NHIA (Step‑by‑Step)

1. Visit NHIA’s official SSHIA page
   Go to the NHIA website and open the SSHIA service page
2. Find your State’s SSHIA, On that page you will find a list of all the State Social Health Insurance Agencies — select the one corresponding to your state of residence to proceed.
3. Contact your state SSHIA office Reach out to the relevant state SSHIA — contact details are usually provided on the NHIA list. Confirm if you qualify, and request any required forms or instructions. 
4. Submit Required Documents & Information Depending on your state, you may need to provide proof of residence, identification (NIN, ID card, etc.), possibly family details if registering dependents, and sometimes proof of income or vulnerability (for subsidized or free coverage).
5. Register & Pay Premium or Contribute (If Applicable)
