What is the National Youth Service Incubator Programme?
The National Youth Service Incubator Programme is a structured development programme designed to help youth-led NPOs operate more effectively and scale their community impact.
During the 12-month programme, selected organizations will receive professional support in key operational areas, including:
- Governance and Compliance: Participants will learn how to strengthen governance structures and ensure their organizations comply with legal and ethical standards required for non-profit operations.

Eligibility Criteria for the NYS Incubator Programme 2026
To qualify for the programme, organizations must meet the following requirements:
- Youth-Led Organization: Leadership must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- South African Based: The NPO must operate within South Africa and actively implement community development programmes.
- Recently Registered Organization: The organization must have been registered between 2024 and 2026, meaning it should not be older than three years.
- Youth Ownership: The NPO must be 100% youth-owned and youth-managed.
Required Documents for Application
Applicants must prepare and submit several important documents as part of their application. These documents should be combined into a single PDF file or ZIP folder before submission.

- SARS Tax Compliance Status Pin Issued Certificate
Financial Documents
- Proof of Bank Account (must be in the organization’s name)
- Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) Report
Supporting Evidence
- At least two testimonial letters supporting the organization’s work
- Organizational Profile (not a project proposal)
- Proof of Project Site Address such as a lease agreement or a letter signed by a councillor
Leadership Documentation
- Directors’ CVs
- Certified copies of directors’ identification documents (not older than 6 months)
