HNP Ontario’s Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship

The HNP Ontario Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship is a groundbreaking program designed to nurture and empower young environmental advocates in Ontario, Canada. This fellowship provides youth with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to become effective leaders in environmental advocacy and sustainability.

Through education, mentorship, and hands-on experience, the fellowship aims to inspire a new generation of environmental stewards who are equipped to tackle pressing environmental challenges and drive positive change in their communities.

Background and Objectives

Established by the Healthy Planet Foundation (HNP), the Ontario Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship was created in response to the growing need for youth engagement in environmental issues. Young people are increasingly recognizing the urgency of addressing environmental challenges, and they are eager to contribute to solutions. The fellowship’s primary objectives are:

• Educate and Raise Awareness: Provide comprehensive education on environmental issues and advocacy strategies.
• Develop Leadership Skills: Equip youth with the skills needed to lead environmental initiatives and campaigns.
• Foster Community Engagement: Encourage youth to engage with their communities and build networks of support.
• Support Action and Implementation: Provide resources and mentorship to help fellows implement their environmental projects.

NOTE: There is NO program admission fee for this fellowship. This fellowship is completely VIRTUAL and FREE!
