The NUJ FCT Scholarship Program For Journalists 2025 portal are now open, The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council has fulfilled one of its key campaign promises by launching the 2024/2025 Scholarship Program for journalists pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) at the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), Abuja. The scholarship initiative is open to journalists in good financial standing with the union over the past two years, holding valid NUJ Identity Cards for 2023 and 2024. The scholarship initiative is a direct fulfillment of the promises made by the newly elected NUJ FCT Council executives, led by Chairman Comrade Grace Ike, who pledged to prioritize capacity building and career development for members.
The NUJ FCT Council encourages eligible journalists to seize this opportunity to enhance their skills and professional standing. This initiative marks another milestone in the Council’s mission to empower its members and uphold excellence in journalism.
Scholarship Award
- Beneficiaries will pay only 50% of the tuition fees, with the Council covering the rest.
Eligibility
- Candidates must have been active participants in NUJ Congresses and union activities
- Active union members who have participated in congresses and activities, and meet financial and documentation requirements.
- Chapel Nominations: Chapel Chairmen are tasked with nominating eligible candidates for the scholarship program.
