Bachelor’s program requirements

  • Academic transcript. Ask your high school to send your academic transcripts to St. Ambrose University
  • (Optional) Send your test scores. St. Ambrose University has a test-optional* admissions process, but if you would like to submit scores, please make sure they’re submitted either on high school transcripts or from the appropriate testing service.   • Students with a GPA below 2.0 still should complete the online application, and it will be evaluated. You may be able to return to classes under provisional guidelines.
  • Fill out the online application so that your transcripts can be reviewed and you can register for classes. You will need the following information handy:
    • The year you stopped taking classes at SAU
    • Provide transcripts for any other school you may have attended since leaving SAU
  • Once you are accepted, register for classes with the help of your returning student advisor, who will introduce you to a dedicated financial aid counselor to work with you on financing your education.

Transfer student requirements

The following is required to apply for transfer admission to St. Ambrose University:

  • Have completed 12 college-transferable credits of academic work from a fully accredited institution of higher education.
  • Maintained a 2.0 grade point average or above (on a 4.0 scale).
