Duration:

A traineeship of 6 months within the Head of Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Namibia, starting in May 2025.
Benefit:
- Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses
- All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.

Your Work:
- Organising EU coordination meetings, incl. drafting agenda, annotated agenda, and meeting minutes (political, cultural, consular/Schengen) ;
- Contributing to the drafting of political reports ;
- Drafting speeches, talking points, briefings for hierarchy ;
- Researching specific topics of relevance in Namibia in relation to political and economic developments ;
- Support the organisation of public diplomacy and media events ;
- Support coordination of communication of the delegation.
Note: In case the selected candidates are not able to present the required documents, their application will be rejected.
The traineeships can only be offered in compliance with the local legislation as well as the legislation of the country of origin.

Eligibility:
- Young graduates with at least a bachelor Diploma (or equivalent) in Political Science, Africa Studies, Communication, Journalism or related
- Strong analytical and drafting skills
- Strong social media and digital communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Fluent spoken and written English

- After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidates are not able to present the required documents, their application will be rejected.
