About Joburg City Theatres Internship Programme 2024
Joburg City Theatres is contributing towards skills development by providing recent graduates an
opportunity to intern at Joburg City Theatres. The Company is providing opportunities to gain work
experience in the theatre environment.
The following positions are available:
1) Human Capital Management
Requirements;
- Grade 12 Certificate
- National Diploma in HumanResource Management or equivalent
- Computer Literacy
Location: Joburg Theatre, Braamfontein
2) Building & Maintenance-JT
Requirements;
- Grade 12 plus N4 Certificate (NQF5) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- PLC Knowledge can be an advantage
Location: Joburg Theatre
3) Building & Maintenance – ST
Requirements;
- Grade 12 plus N4 Certificate (NQF5) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- PLC Knowledge can be an advantage
Location; Soweto Theatre
4) Arts / Youth Development
Requirements;
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Performing Arts or Equivalent
- Computer Literacy
Location; Joburg Theatre
Joburg City Theatres Internship Programme Benefits:
- Successful candidates will be appointed on a 12 month internship contract. An all-inclusive monthly stipend of R5 475.00 will be paid.
Joburg City Theatres Internship Programme Eligibility;
- All applicants must be between the ages of 18 -35 years and be a South Africa citizen
- Students who
need Experiential Training. Studied at a recognized institution of higher learning in the Republic of South Africa.

- Successful applicants will be required to transport themselves
- Applicants must have good written and spoken English
