About the iHatch Startup Incubation Programme
The iHatch Startup Incubation Programme focuses on helping Nigerian startups build market-ready products while strengthening local innovation ecosystems across the country.
Unlike many startup programmes that focus only on founders, iHatch also trains innovation hubs to become long-term support systems for entrepreneurs within their regions. This ensures startups continue receiving guidance and ecosystem support even after the programme ends.

- Structure and formalize their businesses

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the iHatch Cohort 5 Programme, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Must reside in Nigeria (any of the 36 states or FCT)
- Applications must be submitted by a team with a minimum of two members
- At least one team member must possess technical skills or technical capacity
- Startup must be in the idea, prototype, or MVP stage
- Teams must be available for the full programme duration

Call for Applications
Applications are invited from startups and innovation hubs across Nigeria.
- Hub Onboarding: Innovation hubs receive training, certification, and operational support.
- Startup Incubation: Selected startups participate in MVP development, legal incorporation, market validation, and sector-specific training.
- Mentorship and Monitoring: Participants receive mentorship, coaching, and performance tracking throughout the programme.
- Demo Day and Scaling Support: The programme concludes with regional and national demo days where startups showcase their solutions to investors and ecosystem stakeholders.
Programme Duration
Total duration: 10 months
- 5 months for innovation hub training
- 5 months for startup incubation

Important Rules for Participants
- Teams must commit at least 10 hours weekly to the programme
