UNESCO/CJID Storytelling Fellowship 2026 for Environmental Journalists in West Africa
Applications are now open for the 2026 UNESCO/CJID Storytelling Fellowship for Environmental Journalists. This is a six-month investigative fellowship organized by the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) in partnership with the UNESCO Global Media Defence Fund.
The programme is designed to support environmental journalists by improving their investigative reporting skills, especially on cases involving violence and threats against environmental reporters.
Through training and mentorship, selected journalists will learn how to investigate, produce, publish, and share impactful stories that meet international journalism standards.
